The apocalypse has never looked so colorful and alive as it does in New Dawn. Instead of going for the usual look of death and decay at every turn, this game shows a world where vegetation and wildlife have taken back over after a couple of decades of nuclear ruin. The story of a small settlement trying to rebuild civilization suffers from some uneven execution and predictable plot points. Far Cry: New Dawn is a first for the series: It takes place in the aftermath of a prior entry. The controversial ending of Far Cry 5 vindicated the antagonist, doomsday cult leader Joseph Seed, in his claims the end of days was nigh. It's unfortunate, then, that this entry does few other things that are really outside the box for the series.
Far Cry New Dawn (FCND) isn't the most complex game, but there's still an array of different features you'll need to master. Essentially, ethanol is pretty much the key to cracking FCND. However, getting it is no easy feat. Thankfully, the Guns For Hire system returns in this quasi-sequel, meaning you don't have to go it alone in this grand fight. The thing is, not all Guns For Hire are immediately available for you to just recruit. You'll need to find them first, and sometimes even do missions for them, before you can utilise their services.
For the most part, we are pretty used to travelling the wastelands, heading towards the end of the world in a variety of games. We've grown used to scavenging for machine parts, crafting supplies out pieces of tat and wearing some fashionable attire that you might otherwise find in the All Saints clothing summer collection. We've got so used to it in fact that I think the gaming industry is preparing us for when everything goes a bit pear-shaped, letting us utilise our gaming skills to conquer the world.
Where's the Far Cry New Dawn Nintendo Switch port? That's what fans of Ubisoft's open-world shooter series and owners of Nintendo's latest hybrid console are wondering. Game developers want their software to reach as many players as possible, and part of that plan means releasing the game on as many consoles as possible. So, is Far Cry New Dawn going to land on the Nintendo Switch? The player is a captain working for a man named Rush who has become known for helping settlements thrive in this new world. A gang of bandits called the Highwaymen led by sadistic twin sisters, Mickey and Lou, serve as the latest in a line of edgy villains.
While the main story and side quests do a lot with characters from Far Cry 5, the writing of the villains makes the whole story harder to get into. The game tries to have its cake and eat it too by trying to make the monstrous twins seem more sympathetic at times. It's not that the game is otherwise bad. New Dawn has snappy controls, satisfying gun combat and a world full of treasure. Finally, to enjoy all the features in the game, players can Buy Far Cry New Dawn Credits from Mmocs at a reasonable price.
