The New York Jets host the Buffalo Bills this week in what could be a throwback

quarterback matchup fit for 2007. Josh McCown is set to start for the Jets due to a foot sprain suffered by rookie quarterback Sam Darnold. Buffalo’s quarterback situation is so bad that if injured rookie Josh Allen Lorenzo Alexander Jersey , who is recovering from an elbow sprain suffered three weeks ago, is unable to play, then they are hoping that the recently un-retired Derek Anderson can clear concussion protocol in time to avoid another Nathan Peterman start.None of this points to a hotbed of fantasy football activity, but there are certainly some members of Gang Green worth considering for your lineup this week.RB Isaiah CrowellThe Bills have been very hit or miss against running backs this year. When they’ve been good, they’ve been really good, allowing only 12.5, 10, and 13 points combined to the running backs for the Minnesota Vikings Authentic Kyle Williams Jersey , Tennessee Titans, and Houston Texans. However, they have allowed eight different running backs to score in double-figures this year, and they have allowed 3 running backs to surpass the 20-point mark in a week. Crowell has been just as hit or miss, scoring 18 points or more on three occasions. In the other six games in which he’s played, he has not surpassed 6.5 points. He has the kind of explosiveness that could give Buffalo problems, especially if the Bills’ offense continues its trend and gifts the Jets solid field position all day long.Jets D/STThis one is pretty self explanatory. Buffalo has allowed 4 defensive touchdowns this season. They only have 8 touchdowns themselves on the year. The Bills have thrown 16 interceptions, lost 6 fumbles , and allowed 33 sacks. If the Jets’ defense is available, pick them up and start them.K Jason MyersThe Jets’ kicker is available in 63% of Yahoo! leagues. Guess who the highest-scoring kicker in fantasy football is this year? If you guessed the Marist College product, then you are correct. Myers has 91 fantasy points, one more than Stephen Gostkowski has. Myers is doing Poughkeepsie proud, playing only 2 hours south of his college digs. If the Bills defense is able to bend and not break, the Red Fox will be in line for a big day. Myers is 20-for-22 on the year, and 10-for-11 on kicks over 40 yards. He’s definitely worth an add. After another slow day offensively and a good defensive performance, the Buffalo Bills are 2-3. The Tennessee Titans were coming off two convincing wins and may have fooled the rest of the NFL with those performances. The win was ugly , but a win nonetheless. We looked at five Bills players to make a significant impact on this game. Here’s how they fared:QB Josh AllenIf you showed me Josh Allen’s stat line for the game I would have guessed that the Bills lost by three touchdowns. Going 10 for 19, 82 yards and a pick isn't going to win you a whole lot of games in the NFL. Allen looked a lot more comfortable in the pocket than he did last week against the Packers. He found a way to score the only touchdown of the game with his feet in the red zone. Allen has a lot of work to do to be a franchise quarterback, but after almost every game so far, there has been some sort of growth. RB LeSean McCoyMcCoy’s 24 carries on Sunday more than doubled his total for the three games prior. Getting him the ball was a priority for offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. He didn't have an explosive game by any means with just 85 rushing yards, but it’s better to be in second and six than second and long. I’d expect his role to get bigger in the passing game as well since he is the best playmaker the Bills have. (If he doesn’t get traded.)WR Zay JonesJones was Josh Allen’s favorite target on Sunday catching three balls for 20 yards and converted a couple of third downs throughout the game. Clearly those are not good numbers but I think the Bills need to find more ways to get him the ball. With Kelvin Benjamin basically being a paperweight, Jones could very well be the Bills best wide receiver. DE Jerry HughesIf it weren't for the silly roughing the passer rule change, Hughes would have had another two-sack performance. To clarify, he wasn't flagged Youth LeSean McCoy Jersey , but he had Titans’ QB Marcus Mariota wrapped up and let go to avoid being tagged with a roughing the passer penalty and giving the Titans a fresh set of downs. Hughes was able to get in the Titans backfield multiple times, giving Mariota a short time to throw and making him uncomfortable. He ended the game with four tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble. Another solid day at the office for the Bills’ best pass rusher. CB Taron JohnsonLet’s remember, this guy was a fourth-round pick a little over five months ago. Johnson has been an extra spark in the Bills secondary and he had another good game against the Titans. With four tackles and an interception, Johnson was always in good position for the Bills. His tackling was on display once again and his ability to cover in the slot is vital to the Bills defensive success. The Bills have found a good football player in Johnson and the nickel corner fits him extremely well in Sean McDermott’s defense.
