Submersible Pump Working Principle
Submersible pump is a multi-stage centrifugal pump, its working principle is the same as ordinary ground centrifugal pump. Submersible pump in use should be completely immersed in the extracted liquid, the submersible pump should first be filled with liquid. When the unit starts, the submersible motor drives the impeller of the submersible pump shaft and pump shaft to rotate at high speed. The impeller blade drives the liquid in the impeller passage to rotate. This part of the rotating liquid flows to the outer edge of the impeller by inertia under the action of the impeller blade (this process is like rotating wet umbrella, water droplets are thrown to the outer edge of the umbrella).
Because of the continuity of liquid flow, the liquid flowing towards the outer edge of the impeller generates a suction on the liquid at the impeller suction port, which makes the liquid at the impeller suction port fill the space occupied by the liquid flowing to the outer edge of the impeller. In this process, the liquid in the impeller flows around the blade. In the motion of the impeller, the liquid acts as a lift on the blade. In turn, the blade acts on the liquid with a force of equal size and opposite direction. This force works on the liquid and makes the liquid get energy and flow out of the impeller. At this time, the pressure and kinetic energy of the liquid increase.
The liquid flowing out of the impeller directly enters the pressure chamber of the guide case. The pressure chamber collects this part of the liquid, reduces the flow speed of the liquid properly, transforms some kinetic energy into pressure energy, and then leads this part of the conductor into the suction chamber of the guide case for the lower impeller to draw. In this way, the liquid flow through all impellers and guide shells in the pump step by step, and the pressure energy of each impeller and guide shell is increased once. After the step-by-step pressure energy superposition, a certain energy increment is obtained at the outlet of the submersible pump, that is, a certain lift is generated, so as to achieve the purpose of pumping liquid.
