The adidas superstar supercolor have been truly living up to their name as of late, and and it only seems to be getting better. This time, the pair has popped up in a style that’s super slick, due in part to its scale-coated, original flavored upper.
When it comes to celebrity football fans, you’d be hard-pressed to find one to rival Snoop Dogg. The West Coast rap legend has been a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan for decades, has run his own youth football league since 2005, and even released his own football cleat earlier this year. In March, Snoop linked up with adidas to release the adizero 5-Star 5.0 "Money" Football cleat. Snoop loves football and football, as evidenced by him traipsing around Super Bowl 50 this past February, loves Snoop.
adidas superstar links up with Korean sneaker store Kasina to create a unique looking pair of Superstar 80s. Opting to take the minimal route, the Superstar comes dressed in a smooth tonal suede construction that takes care of the majority of the upper. Black suede makes for nice contrast as it can be found on the heel, tongue and the medial side panels. Speaking of the side panels, don’t they look exactly like the side panels used on the Boost 350? Red accents placed throughout give the shoe some nice pop. Giving it even more of a Boost 350 feel is the tonal branding placed on the medial side panels.
adidas superstar 80s has dubbed Rita the queen of color, and the latest Fall 2016 collection shows this inspiration through deep maroon shades, just the right amount of pastel pink, and a heavy dose of navy blue. A speckled confetti camouflage contrasts floral accents throughout as the Tubular Defiant utilizes premium suede and mesh for an athletic yet casual twist. Color Paint kaleidoscope visions add to the overall aesthetic as does oversized floral pedals. The playfully sophisticated collection will be available via adidas on August 18th.
