HANOI， Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Three Vietnam's carriers Tuesday signed deals on purchase of 40 Airbus aircrafts from France.
At a signing ceremony witnessed by Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang and the visiting French President Francois Hollande， the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on consideration of buying 10 more Airbus A350-900 XWB jetliners.
Currently， Vietnam Airlines is using four A350 aircrafts among 14 ordered， which will be delivered one by one till mid-2019.
These aircrafts are used in Vietnam Airlines' international air routes fromto France's Paris， South Korea's Incheon， and China's Shanghai as well as in domestic routes between capital Hanoi and southern Ho Chi Minh City， said Vietnam Airlines.
Also at the ceremony， Vietnamese low-cost carrier Jetstar Pacific and Airbus formally inked a contract of buying 10 A320 CEO aircrafts.
According to the contract， the order will be delivered in 2017. The budget airline targets to develop its fleet to include 30 Airbus A320 aircrafts by 2020.
Meanwhile， Vietnam's other low-cost airline VietJet Air signed a deal to buy 20 Airbus planes worth some 2.39 billion U.S. dollars.

DUBAI, May 20 (Xinhua) -- Egypt's interim Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab said here on Tuesday, that the "new Egypt" would be in contact with East and West without any preferences and that his country has still to implement vast economic reforms to get back on the growth track.
Delivering a keynote speech at the 13th Arab media forum, Mahlab said Egypt was ready to open a new chapter to find its place in the world and after its coming presidential election on May 26 and 27.
"We want the election to be transparent after which economic and social reform will follow to reach better standards vans old skool canvas ," said the prime minister of the most populous Arab country.
He stressed that the new Egypt has to eradicate extremism and intolerance in order to find its place within the Arab world and the international community.
Asked by Xinhua at a following press conference whether the new Egypt would be more oriented to the East or to the West, Mahlab answered "Egypt will not have preferences in this regard, it will be an open country and ready to connect with every country."
